The 4th and last MPL Quarter Final of our 2nd year was held on Saturday 30th May 2009. The host venue was "Ye Olde Winne Shop", a sports bar in West Bromwich.

Graham Chance, representing Oliver's Army, won the day and was crowned our latest MPL Quarter Final Champion. Completing the dynamic duo, Susan Harvey won the charity raffle, an LCD TV,

which raised some much needed funds for Cancer Research.

As soon as we had a look at the Venue a few weeks before we knew that it would fit the bill nicely. There were a few questions asked from players who don't like spicy food, but for those who did, the lunch was sufficient with a small buffet served in the evening. However, the management apologised for overlooking the food options and have commented that when we use them again in the future, probably in about 3 season's time, they will work with us to make sure there will be more variety on offer for all.

It was a baking hot Saturday and the temperature within the venue was warmish but acceptable. The venue was well layed out and comfortable. Many thanks to Harry, the Venue Manager and his bar staff and waitresses who gave service with a smile and also did a great job stisfying the thirsty 121 players eager to win the top £1000 prize. Thanks also to Paul and Andy for their effort in running the event with a very professional touch.

Susan Harvey won the charity raffle which raised some much needed funds for "Race For Life". The prize was an LCD TV.
